Broadway, Big Band Style! will feature The Big Band Sound 20-piece jazz orchestra joined by County Players’ vocalists in a gala concert presenting favorite Broadway show tunes in the most exciting setting of a live big band. A fun and swinging evening, this musical revue will feature songs from the premier composers and lyricists of the Broadway stage. Join us for a brassy celebration of the best music of Broadway!
Annual Meeting
County Players will hold its annual meeting on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 7pm at the theater. There will be a short business meeting, followed by entertainment and light refreshments. We will review our past season, and preview our upcoming season. All are welcome.
Renovations
Improved Bathrooms Highlight Renovations
Last summer, County Players completed some renovation work inside our theater building. Structural work around the back wall of the theater improved the structural integrity of our nearly 100 year old building. At the same time, the bathrooms were completely replaced, resulting in more capacity as well as improved accessibility.

Needed are a large cast of singers, dancers, and actors for principle and ensemble roles.
Prepare a song from this or other Broadway musical and bring sheet music.
There will be dance auditions so dress appropriately. Speaking roles will be read from the script.
County Players receives “Spirit of Dutchess” Award
At the 2011 Spirit of Dutchess County Awards luncheon last week the County Players team was honored for their work as volunteers with a $1,000 grant. They were among the 24 outstanding individuals, two youths and four groups of volunteers saluted by United Way of Dutchess County and Hands On! The Hudson Valley at the event held at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel.
