Lighting might sound like it requires a lot of experience, but most of our “experts” learned their trade working on our shows. You’ll start out learning the basics, and work your way up to Lighting Designer! If you’re not afraid to climb tall ladders, we especially need you, but there is also plenty of work on the ground.
We also need light board operators for technical and dress rehearsals and performances. Our light board is computerized and easy to learn and use.
Lighting hangs are typically a weekend a few weeks before the show opens, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. If you can only make one day, that’s ok too! Board Operators need to be at production week rehearsals and all performances. Usually there are two operators per show, so you only have to do half of the rehearsals/performances.
